Dubai. February 2023.

The audio manufacturer will use the 7th of February to engage the rental market, theatres, sound engineers, RF technicians, and channel partners with presentations, tests, and demos of the EW-DX and EW-D technology. It will engage with end-users, offer hands-on experience with the new system, and offer refresher training on its full range of capsules and microphone elements.

The day of 8th February will be focussed on educating the  IT/AV Consultant, System integrator, Technical application personnel, and channel partners on the integration and installation-based setup of EW-DX.

EW-DX offers low latency, convenient and spectrum-saving equidistant frequency spacing, and ultra-wide input dynamic range. An Auto Scan function automatically assigns frequencies using an equidistant tuning grid that allows more channels to be packed into a given frequency window.

Sennheiser says EW-DX adds new options, including two- and four-channel receivers, new handheld, bodypack, and table stand transmitters, and a wider switching bandwidth of 88 MHz, AES 256 encryption, and e-ink displays. Transmitters are synchronised via Bluetooth Low Energy.

EW-DX will be integrated into the Sennheiser Control Cockpit software, Wireless Systems Manager desktop software, and Smart Assist App.

“During each event, our attendees will have a first-hand look and feel of the new EW-DX system and be able to discuss their questions in person with Sennheiser’s team of technical experts from Germany and the Middle East. We really look forward to these face-to-face gatherings where we can meet with our customers and hear the views and opinions of industry experts and colleagues,” says Mig Cardamone, Sales Director, Sennheiser Middle East. “EW-DX is the most versatile digital wireless system Sennheiser designed to date. Whether you are using it for university lectures or corporate meetings, a gig in a bar, or on a theatre stage, EW-DX delivers peak performance.”

Ryan Burr, Head of Technical Applications at Sennheiser Middle East, said: “We have designed these events to educate more about EW-DX for specific professional applications – Live Sound for Rental, Theatre, Broadcast and Houses of Worship and System Integration for corporate and educational facilities.

Sennheiser EW-DX simplifies the professional workflow by utilizing refined technologies and decades of research to deliver a digital UHF system that can be easily scaled. With its advanced feature set and hardware options, live productions benefit from a network-ready system designed to integrate seamlessly. The system quickly assesses the environment and uses equidistant channel spacing to deploy frequencies, while tools like Sennheiser’s Control Cockpit, Wireless Systems Manager, and Smart Assist App allow the monitoring of systems remotely. In-device charging, 12-hour battery operation, and switching bandwidth up to 88 MHz are only a few more features that make EW-DX the right tool for the job.
